The importance of feeling useful
This morning Brenda said something that we sometimes forget. She said while washing up dishes – “I do not particularly want to wash up the dishes or like doing that. I just like being useful” Getting on with the day can mean catching up on the newspapers and books, sorting out the flowers on the tables, sweeping the terrace, watering the garden, chopping veg for lunch, washing up or cleaning the tables – feeling useful and feeling good about oneself. Simples!
