Our aim is provide essential information about dementia and caring for people with dementia. It is aimed at people who live with dementia, and their carers.
Knowing the essentials about dementia can help you in your discussions with professionals such as GPs, and help you to prepare yourself for living with dementia.
There is already a lot of information available about dementia on the web so why are we doing this ?
There is perhaps too much information now and it takes a long time to wade through it all and work out what is relevant. We have put together what we think is the essential information.
A lot of information, while interesting, is not terribly relevant, particularly for carers who want to understand what dementia means in terms of how they can best support and care for the person with dementia.
At Rose Lodge we support and care for people with dementia 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This gives us a unique and very practical point of view on what matters most for people with dementia and their carers i.e.’ How will this dementia progress and what support and care do I need going forward ?”
