Well, it is not because we have sweet tooth….. The cook makes flapjacks, we decorate them together with some extra biscuits (for afternoon tea) and then we eat them! Bill, Geoff and Val decided that close observation of the process and then careful quality control washed down with tea or coffee was much more important… quite right!

Val has a soft spot for some people and clearly Gavin is one of them. It was wonderful to see both Gavin and Val enjoying each other company while also sorting out some flowers for the tables….

Community living today at its best with people chopping parsnips for lunch in the lodge and others making fruit salad in the cottage, tables were laid by Coral, fish and chicken were fed. Most of the residents were out for walks in the park/by the sea and in the garden (see earlier post), Scrabble battle went on between Peter and Harry, books were read, crosswords were solved and company enjoyed, dog was cuddled, 2017 calendars were made and choir sang their hearts out……. Oh dear, I am tired just writing this!

Hats, scarves, blankets, warm coats – enough to go out, get some fresh air and enjoy the outside – Val, Tricia, Geoff and Peter enjoyed good company and fresh air.
