At the Lodge today. I love how the carer mirrors the posture of the resident. It’s a powerful way to express your empathy and togetherness through body language. It comes quite naturally to many carers, others have to learn it.

Rosina was bemused by me wanting to take a picture of her today. She was really much more interested in the live music!
A long time ago I was persuaded to do a season of the Proms in the Albert Hall. I slept through all of them, except for the last night. Something about live music that just makes me nod off.
Joyce enjoys live music in much the same way as me…

Our builders have been working hard to extend the final Cottage bedroom to be equipped with a level wet-room, and to create some more workspace for the management team. Today they started on surfacing the new roof, which means that soon the scaffolding will be coming down and we can see how it will look. The new room can’t be finished quickly enough, we already have someone looking forward to living there.
