reminiscence therapy ?

People living with dementia don’t need reminiscence therapy, they are not like broken clocks that need to be fixed.

They do need opportunities to engage in a wide variety of activities, and some of those may naturally trigger memories to be shared with others. This is not about being a person living with dementia, it is just about being human. Who of us doesn’t like to tell a story every now and then ?

In a community there are no strict boundaries between the carers and those ‘being cared for’. The best care works both ways. At its best it is a loving interaction between people.

Arranging flowers for the Lodge

Flowers are a vital and regular part of  life in the Lodge and a number of residents really enjoy arranging them for all to enjoy. At the Lodge today:
