Tea at the Devoncourt Hotel

It’s only a short walk to the Devoncourt Hotel and today residents from the Lodge and the Cottage joined for a joint expedition to the Hotel, to enjoy the view and a change of scenery, a cup of tea tea and , most importantly the company of friends.

At the Lodge today. I love how the carer mirrors the posture of the resident.  It’s a powerful way to express your empathy and togetherness through body language. It comes quite naturally to many carers, others have to learn it.

how to enjoy music

A long time ago I was persuaded to do a season of the Proms in the Albert Hall. I slept through all of them, except for the last night. Something about live music that just makes me nod off.
