We had our pond cleaned out last week and it has made a lot of difference as we can see them again which is great! There are rather too may of them though so if anyone would a few of the smaller ones home with them please let us know!

Claire has entered us in the Exmouth in Bloom competition and she has done her research! Apparently there are extra points for providing an environment for insects, so with Ian’s help she has re-purposed our old chicken house into an insect house.

Our Senior Carer and now ‘head gardener’ Claire has organised a sunflower competition with our residents. They look great and bring a smile to our faces. Lots of watering though….

Our new loggia has being readied for a painting by our Cottage artist group. The loggia has been christened ‘the chapel’ for obvious reasons and provides a shady and quiet rest-stop when strolling the gardens. Can’t wait for the paining to go up…

Having cleaned out our pond it is clear we have too many fish! Does anyone want some beautiful koi for their pond at home ? Tiddlers only though, we are keeping he big ones!
