Do cats have empathy ?

Perhaps they do! Archie has been observed curling up on people’s laps when they’re a bit blue.

Oh Jackie!

Jackie was in desperate need of a new cage, and so we used the money from our Christmas raffle to get her a new home. Irene who keeps and eye on Jackie declared the new cage a success!


Oh Archie!

Archie is a very sociable cat and he likes to join resident at meal times. He is quite well behaved and doesn’t walk on the tables or eat the food. He just enjoys keeping residents company.


Introducing our latest residents Sooty and Daisy

Two black rabbits were kindly donated to us today. They are called Sooty and Daisy, and they live in a nice big run so they can nibble the grass. They are quite tame so I suspect they will be quite popular with the residents. This brings our stock of animals to two cats, two chicken, two rabbits, and a budgie!

Happy cat….

Archie has been back for a few weeks now and seems quite happy, pottering around the home and the gardens. Occasionally he keeps me company in the office…

We now have two cats at Rose Lodge, Archie is my Siamese, and Kefren belongs to one of our residents. He is quite old and stays in Tom’s room most of the time. Plus a budgie, two hens, and a pond full of Koi…
