Our Activities programme for Spring 2012
We have added Yoga to the programme a few weeks ago, which is going very well. Art isn’t on the programme as a specific activity, though several residents do practice their art at Rose Lodge. If anyone knows of an art teacher who would like to lead an art class once a week then please let us know.

Nice specs Simon!
Simon told us the other day that he loves coming to perform at Rose Lodge, because people are always up for a laugh and a dance, and enjoying themselves. It was business as usual today..
Not really that serious!
A great turn-out to the special ‘Singing for the brain’ Christmas event at Brixington Church today, with six residents joining in. It was a lovely sociable afternoon and not at all as serious as this picture would suggest!
The great Rose Lodge Christmas Party….
……..was better than ever! A full House with lots of family, lots of dancing, Christmas presents, a raffle and some fantastic food. Phew!

Warbling at Rose Lodge…
Every Wednesday we take residents to the wonderful ‘Singing for the Brain’ circle which is expertly led the very energetic Glenda of the Alzheimer’s Society. Glenda mentioned that she sings in a choir and when offered we snapped up the opportunity for them to perform at Rose Lodge.
So today the Withycombe Warblers came to entertain the residents with a selection from their reportoire which we all greatly enjoyed. About half-way through the performance Tom came up behind the choir and quietly joined in (You can just see him in the first picture).
They are looking for additional singers – if you are interested please call choir leader Claire on 01363 866819.
