These boots are made for walking…..

At Orcombe point - What a great day!

Walking down the esplanade

Rosemobile turns into snack-van for our pit-stop

Last Saturday, residents, family and staff took part in a sponsored walk to raise money for some new garden furniture for the residents. We all met up at the lifeboat station where the Exmouth Journal came to chat with us and take a couple of pictures (and did a nice story about the walk in today’s Exmouth Journal). We all walked together to the Marina and then back to the Lifeboat station where we had a little pit stop. On to Orcombe Point and back again to the lifeboat station. 5 Miles all in all which took us a couple of hours. One of our residents walked the whole distance which was pretty impressive!

The walk was organised by Care assistant Brenda Kelsall with a lot of help from her colleagues. She did a fantastic job of bringing it all together in such a great afternoon for us all.

In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much that we have decided to start a walking club for residents, family and friends, and anyone else that would like to join us!. Watch this space…..
