Visit Rose Lodge

Introducing Irene

Irene joined us from Exebank rehabilititation centre which closes this week. She is quite upset about having to move and we aim to make her feel at home at Rose Lodge as soon as possible. Her friends came yesterday to dress her room with her own things, and helped her move in today. After lunch in the dining room, we dead-headed some flowers on the terrace and she enjoyed the guitar party on the terrace for a while before getting to know people at Rose Lodge a bit better. Irene has a wonderful sense of humour and the steely determination of a true Scotswoman. I have also been told she’s a bit of flirt. Bring it on!

    Hello Irene

Pat and I were so glad to see you so happy today when we came to see you. We are so happy that you have such a lovely room over looking the garden, and what a lovely surprise to see your picture here. Lovely.
We miss you so very much and were so sorry to see you leave Exebank. Sadly now the unit has closed and we all have to move on, but Irene we will always come and see you and make sure you are ok.

With all our love, Jayne and Pat.

jayne and i visited irene today at rose lodge, and was amused that she had already claimed a chair in the lounge, she is a very special lady with a great determination and will be greatly missed. Jayne and i were her carers for the time she stayed at exebank, she was already telling us tales about everyone, and whats next on her social calender.she had her nails painted that afternoon, which i believe is a regular event at rose lodge. I for one am looking forward to our next visit to see how she is settling in and whats the latest with all the other residents.
