A very windy and still fun and busy Thursday

Not that many of us wanted to go out today in the wind. Still Doreen loved going to the lanes and picked a wonderful bunch of wild flowers which she arranged upon return with Meg, Enid and Sylvia while giving everyone a spontaneous singalong. The choir today was amazing with Frank giving his strong and trained voice. What can I cay – the primarily gents team with Reg as the team leader went through to a spectacular victory. Congratulations. Just before supper Rene, Joy and Gerry decided to brave the winds and pop for a quick stroll to the seafront – a very quick one.

Wednesday’s sun

We enjoyed the amazing afternoon. Morning, although colder allowed residents to go for walks. Singing for the brain as usual, gardening, enjoying others company and bowling just before supper :-D

Residents’ Lettuce Plug Pants for Sale Now!

Some answers are staring in your face and you do not see them – unless you are Ethel of course. Yesterday Ether and Kay spend the afternoon planting lettuces and parsley. I commented on the fact that we have rather a lot of lettuce plug plants and wondered what to do with them. Ethel looked at me as if I dropped from another planet and said “Pot them and sell them of course” Obvious! Today Doreen and Meg potted the plug plants.

The proceeds from the sale go to The Residents’ Fund. Please support our residents and purchase the plug plants when you visit over the next few days  :-D

It is just Tuesday

Walk with the best view in town, boxing and fitness, games in the lounge, gardening and sing-along and music. Phillipa wnt to town to help with some shopping. Gerry is now finding his way around the garden and spend the whole afternoon straight after lunch in the garden and continued after supper. Ethel and Kay turned an empty raised bed into an allotment with lettuce and Parsley. Dennis and Meg helped too. Rene, did his daily cleaning rounds and Harry continued with his project. Everyone enjoyed the singalong Tuesday music and Ethne enjoyed the laughs and banter. Claire spend a lot of time outside taking walks and enjoying a lovely afternoon. Joy and Bob loved the singalong with everyone else. By the way, the activities white unit is working wonders. Puzzles, Boogle, etc are all being enjoyed. Bettie loved the word game boogle and is very good at it as is Gerry.
