Free reports to help you find a good dementia care home

Finding and selecting a Dementia Care Home can be a bewildering experience. It pays to plan ahead a little so you can select the right Care Home for your loved one.

We have written three reports which can help guide you through the process of:

1. Considering a move to a dementia home

2. Paying for a dementia care home

3. Viewing dementia care homes

To request one or more of these reports, just leave a comment on this posting  and we will email then to you straight away.

CQC rates Rose Lodge a two-star (good) home

Today Rose Lodge became a two star (‘good’) home following a key inspection by the Care Quality Commission. The new rating is a clear recognition by the inspector of the tremendous developments that have taken place at Rose Lodge since the new management team took over in December 09. We are immensely proud of the wonderful care team that dedicate themselves to the wellbeing of our residents every day. We are expecting the report in the next few weeks and will then publish further details on this blog.

We are now one of only two 2-star rated specialist dementia home in Exmouth, and there appear to be no 3 star specialist dementia care homes in the whole of Devon!

New quiet lounge at Rose Lodge

Our newly completed quiet lounge

Today we completed our new quiet lounge. We now have a wonderful cosy room which will be a great place for residents to enjoy a quiet space, for residents to meet with their families and friends, and for ‘quiet’ activities such as our weekly religious service at Rose Lodge.
